Publicity Erika Baldonado	Erika C. Baldonado is excited to be performing with the Tennessee Valley Players again this season. She has been seen previously in TVP's galas and musicals Anything Goes, Kiss Me, Kate, and Curtains. Erika feels fortunate to be reprising her role as Liat after performing in Cumberland County Playhouse's production in 2008. She graduated with a degree in mass communications from Emerson College and lived in Los Angeles for several years working in the film and television business. Although Erika loves acting on stage and in films, her favorite role is the real-life one of being a mommy. She thanks her hubby, family and friends for their constant support.
	Music Director Dr. Angela Batey	Dr. Angela L. Batey (Music Director) is Associate Dean in the University of Tennessee College of Arts and Sciences. She is Director of Graduate Studies of the School of Music, as well as Director of Choral Activities. Dr. Batey is recognized as a prominent conductor, clinician, adjudicator and teacher whose wide variety of experience encompasses professional, university, high school, community and church choruses. She conducts the UT Chamber Singers, and teaches conducting courses at the graduate level. Additionally, she is Director of Music at Farragut Presbyterian Church. In June of 2007, she made her conducting debut at Carnegie Hall to a rare standing ovation. In July 2012 and again in 2018 she led the UT Chamber Singers on an invited Cathedral Choral Residency to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and in 2015 did the same in London and Canterbury, England. In May, 2017 the Chamber Singers sang an invited Choral Evensong at Washington National Cathedral. Dr. Batey holds two degrees from Birmingham-Southern College in music education and musical theatre; a master's degree from The Florida State University in music education and the doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting from the University of South Carolina.

He and his wife Susan have been active in the Knoxville theatre scene for fifty years starting with the Clarence Brown production of the musical 'Oliver!' in 1972. In 1980, he was involved in the re-establishment of Tennessee Valley Players which has specialized in the production of musicals. Since 2004, TVP has worked in partnership with Dr. Angela Batey, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Tennessee School of Music to provide the community the summer musical each year. Since 2011, TVP has been performing summers at the historic Ula Love Doughty Carousel Theatre. Sadly, this will be the last show to be performed in this lovely old theatre before being reborn as the Jenny Boyd Carousel Theatre in a couple of years.

	Set and Props Carol Idol	Carol Idol has been involved with Tennessee Valley Players for many years as a back stage assistant, dresser, and stage manager. She also has had memorable roles as a walk-on in a variety of roles: stage manager, cleaning lady, waitress, congressman, Supreme Court Justice have been high points. A devoted lover of community theatre, Carol is much beloved for her positive outlook and giving spirit. There is no doubt that many TVP casts and crews benefited from her work. Thank you, Carol. Caryn is the Director of Choral Activities at Karns High School where she has directed Once Upon a Mattress, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Oklahoma, Hello Dolly, White Christmas, and Little Women.

	Primary Accompanist Tami Newsom	Tami Newsom is an accomplished musician and choral director and is proficient on a variety of instruments including the piano, organ, flute, and mountain dulcimer. She is a Past-Dean of the Knoxville Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She first began her musical career at the age of 6, learning to play piano. At age 13, under the guidance and tutelage of her music instructors, Robbie Roseberry and Peter Picerno, she began playing the organ at First Cumberland Presbyterian in Memphis, where she remained for 25 years. As an accomplished singer, Ms. Newsom was a member of a Memphis-based auditioned ensemble, The Wolf River Singers. Simultaneously, she was part of their elite Ensemble Singer program. She has sat in as a juried member in the euphonium section of many music students' final exams. She is the accompanist for the University of Tennessee Chamber Singers as well as collaborative artist for conducting classes at UT. She is Associate Director of Music at Farragut Presbyterian Church and pursuing her second career as a double major in sacred music and religious studies at the University of Tennessee.
	Costumes Nancy Pevey	Nancy Pevey has worked in multiple TVP productions over the years, starting with No, No, Nanette long, long agao. She is the former Dean of Mathematics at Pellissippi State Community College and QEP Director for the college. Pevey is currently serving on the TVP Board of Directors (having previoiusly served a term as President).
	Choreographer Amanda Roberts	Amanda Roberts has twenty-five plus years of dance experience. She performed for eight years on a competitive dance team with Bobbi Collins Dance Enterprises. Roberts instructed dance at Smoky Mountain Music for five years, and Farragut Performing Arts for two years. She is very happy to be choreographing her fifth musical for the Tennessee Valley Players. She has choreographed Anything Goes, Kiss me, Kate, Curtains, and Of Thee I Sing. Roberts also serves on TVP Board of Directors. She has been married to her sweetheart for ten years and is currently a full-time RN at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center on the Cardiac Step-Down Unit.
	Costumes Kevin Smathers	Kevin Smathers (Director) is the Senior Naval Science (Navy Junior ROTC) teacher at Farragut High School and a retired Navy Commander. Having been a part of Tennessee Valley Players since his debut as Sky Masterson in the 2006 production of Guys and Dolls, Mr. Smathers has served on the Board of Directors and appeared in most of TVP’s summer musicals and gala fundraisers and been the director since 2019. Aside from directing, he was also seen as Maurice in last Summer’s Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia (Sam Carmichael), and Curtains (Frank Cioffe), He has also performed locally with Tennessee Stage Company, Foothills Community Players, Oak Ridge Playhouse and Pellissippi State Community College. As he leaves Knoxville for New Orleans in early summer, a special shout-out to TVP’s founding and sustaining member, Edmund Bolt, Dr. Angie Batey for her incredible music direction for almost 20 shows, Tami Newsom who has accompanied and rehearsed every show and Gayle Greene for her beautiful choreography. It has been an amazing collaboration and I will miss each of you and your creative energy!
	Costumes Denise Williams	Denise Williams is back on 'the wicked stage' again! She has been active in area community theatre for over thirty years including productions with Theatre Knoxville, Oak Ridge Playhouse, TVP, UT Theatre and others. Favorite roles include Maria in The Sound of Music, the Widow Corney in Oliver, Anne Collier in 1940s Radio Hour, and Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. As always, she is thankful for the talent God has blessed her with and for the patience and support of her loving husband, Bill.

Having been mainly involved in backstage efforts most of her life, she's having fun giving the other side of the spotlight a chance. From debuting as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, to a Bathing Beauty in Of Thee I Sing, Laura is excited to now be a Jet Girl in this show. 	Ensemble Byron Davis	Byron Davis is the director of the Choral program at West High School, where he leads the school's four choral ensembles and co-directs the school's Musical Theatre productions. In the course of his tenure at West, the Choral program has grown from 60 students to 140 students, and consistently garners excellent and superior ratings in area choral festivals. Of Thee I Sing represents his first musical theatre endeavor as an on-stage participant since playing Cornelius Hackl in his high school's 1987 production of Hello, Dolly!
	Ensemble George Fox	George Barron Fox is pleased to be performing on this fine stage with these fine people in his premier with the Tennessee Valley Players. Other Performances include: Willy Wonka in Willie Wonka at The Oak Ridge Play House, Matt in the Fantastiks at PSTCC, and Freddy at ORPH. 	Ensemble Mariana Garciagodoy	Mariana Garciagodoy is currently in the graduate choral conducting program at the University of Tennessee, under the tutelage of Dr. Angela Batey. Originally from Mexico City, Mariana demonstrated early in life a passion for dance and music. Her conducting draws on these two passions and shows the ways in which music and movement are interconnected. Mariana studied under Dr. Emilie Amrein at Lake Forest College, IL. There she served as the Assistant Conductor for the Lake Forest College Choirs. Additionally, she works with the Soundcompany children's choir and is the happy director of the Junior group. Mariana is very interested in different cultures, and loves the ways in which music overcomes barriers and brings people together, no matter how different their backgrounds are.
	Ensemble Taylor Greene	Taylor Greene is an upcoming freshman at the University of Tennessee, where she will be studying music education. She is excited to start the semester! Taylor has enjoyed doing theater in high school and has been involved in Once Upon a Mattress, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Oklahoma. She would like to thank God for all the opportunities she has received, and her family for their support. Taylor hopes you will enjoy this show as much as she has enjoyed being in it!
	Diana Devereaux Adara Towler Hosmer	Adara Towler recently graduated from the University of Tennessee with her bachelors of music degree. Adara has performed with the Tennessee Valley Players as Patsy West in Girl Crazy, Mona Page in Curtains, and as part of the ensemble in Kiss Me, Kate. Adara has performed with the University of Tennessee Opera Theatre as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, the Badessa in Suor Angelica, and as part of the ensemble in Don Giovanni, Street Scene, and L'Elisir d'Amore. She has also performed as the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Meg Brockie in Brigadoon. Adara will be starting a new, exciting chapter in her life next year in the graduate music program at the University of Colorado in Boulder.

	Ensemble Diane Keefe	Diane Troch Keefe (Assistant Stage Manager) is pleased to be supporting this wonderful production. She performed on stage in Tennessee Valley Players productions of Girl Crazy (2011), Of Thee I Sing (2012), and South Pacific (2013). Diane is a Lifetime Member of Dance Educators of America. She owned and operated the Miss Diane School of Dance for over 20 years in New York. After moving to Tennessee, Diane operated the After School Dance Program at the Farragut Intermediate School and at the Westside Unitarian Universalist Church. Diane choreographed, produced and directed numerous Dance Recitals as well performances for the Farragut Intermediate School, St. John Neumann School, the AARP and other organizations through the years. Diane has also been seen in The Wiz at the Oak Ridge Playhouse. She is thrilled to be a part of West Side Story!
	Throttlebottom Braxton Kiser	Braxton Kiser was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has always loved acting, singing, and dancing. Braxton is a sophomore at Karns High School. He has been in multiple shows, but this is his first community musical. Braxton has been seen as Gideon Pontipee in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, an orphan in Oliver!, and Jud Fry in Rogers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! this past academic year. He is glad to be joining such a great cast and director with Of Thee I Sing. Braxton would like to thank God for giving him this wonderful gift! 'Look Mom and Dad… I did it!'
	Ensemble Ben Koretko	Ben Koretko was born in Denver, Colorado but grew up in the small town of Masonville. At first acting was a way for him to escape and it grew to be his passion. Ben has done many shows but playing Oberon in A Mid Summer's Night Dream is a favorite role. Ben's high school choir/acting teacher was Caryn Marlowe and he considers it an honor to be in this show with her and the rest of the cast and crew! Ben would like to thank all his supporters! He can't wait to see what happens next!

She also takes dance at Dancer's Studio. She has studied there for five years. Ariel would like to thank her grandparents, uncles, and aunts for all their love and support.

	French Ambassardor Tyler Padgett	Tyler Padgett is feeling very humbled and nostalgic as he begins his 9th production with Tennessee Valley Players. Tyler is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee's School of Music and is beginning a master's of vocal performance program at the University of Colorado Boulder this fall. Tyler has had the pleasure of performing in TVP's past productions of Curtains (Bobby Pepper - 2010), Girl Crazy (Ensemble - 2011), Of Thee I Sing (French Ambassador - 2012), South Pacific (Radio Operator Bob McCaffrey - 2013), West Side Story (Bernardo - 2014), Les Miserables (Javert - 2015), Pirates of Penzance (Pirate King - 2016), and Anything Goes (Billy - 2017). Tyler has also had the privilege of performing with the University of Tennessee Opera Theater. His credits with UTOT include The Consul (Mr. Kofner), Don Giovanni (Masetto), Le Nozze di Figaro (Bartolo) and The Crucible (John Proctor). With Tyler's imminent departure from Knoxville, he would like to thank his friends, colleagues, and teachers who have enriched his life and influenced his development as a performer so much over the years. Tyler would like to give special thanks to Dr. Batey, Andrew Skoog, and Judith Bible. Their dedication to being incredible educators will always be a blessing. 	Ensemble John Pevey	John Pevey was in two musicals with the Tennessee Valley Players--his debut in 2012 as a Supreme Court justice/Reporter in TVP's production of Of Thee I Sing and then appearing as a sailor in South Pacific. John is a double graduate of the nuclear engineering department at UT. John currently lives and works in Rockville, Maryland, (on the next generation of nuclear reactors) with his wife Abby.

	Senator Jones Ron Pevey	Ron Pevey is a retired professor from the Nuclear Engineering Department of UT. He got into theatrical performances after moving to Knoxville at the age of 40 and appearing with the Farragut Performing Arts Theater (FPAT, under Victoria Bolen) since he had to be at the rehearsals anyway with his daughters. He met the Bolts while performing with Susan in FPAT's 42nd Street, and was coerced to be in the chorus of Lady Be Good, and the rest is history. (He finds it amusing he started out as a king in Cinderella and has ended up as a queen in this production.)
	Senator Lyons Kris Phillips	Kris Phillips is thrilled to be working with Tennessee Valley Players again; some of his recent roles have been Henri in South Pacific, Senator Lyons in Of Thee I Sing, and The Dropper in the Ladder Plays. He was also recently given the opportunity to direct The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at KHS. 	Senate Clerk George Rouvelas	George Rouvelas a native of Manchester, Tennessee is delighted to be in his third show with the Tennessee Valley Players. His past theatrical experience includes Anything Goes (Purser, 2008), and Girl Crazy (Eagle Rock, 2011) both with TVP. He also sings tenor in the Knoxville Opera Chorus and has appeared in La Traviata (2011) and Otello (2012). He is also a soloist in the University of Tennessee Chamber Singers and Farragut Presbyterian Chancel Choir since 2005. George is pursuing his MS degree in physical chemistry with a minor in computational science. He is a student of John Z. Larese.

	Fulton Gordon Sisk	Gordon McBride Sisk III began his career as a high school junior with set design. From there it was only out front. His senior year saw a turn as Albert Peterson in Bye Bye, Birdie. After college it was years of community theater with roles as Abner in Lil' Abner, Mr. Dussell in Diary of Anne Frank, Grandpa Vanderhof in You Can't Take it With You, Snoopy in Snoopy, and Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple. This marks his return to the stage after a twenty-eight year hiatus. I am thrilled to be back on the boards with this fabulous cast!
	Ensemble Penny Skeen	Penny Skeen from Oak Ridge, has been involved in music since junior high where she was in the choir and school dramatic productions. Penny took modern, jazz and tap dance for ten years and was in her college dance club. She has sung on the praise team at church for seventeen years, and has choreographed church productions. Last summer Penny played an extra in a Christian movie, Laughing at the Moon. She also has had her own band, Full Circle by Grace. Penny has sung with a Tennessee Prison for Women ministry and led worship for evangelists in her home.
	Ensemble Casey Smith	Casey D. Smith is happy to participate in her first production with Tennessee Valley Players. Casey has been involved in many productions locally. Some of her favorites are: Hamlet (Ophelia), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), and A Midsummer Nights Dream (Snug) with the Tennessee Stage Company; Pippin (The Leading Player), The Sound of Music (Maria), Big River (Mary Jane), The Rocky Horror Show (Trixie), Scrooge (Isabelle), and Serpent's Reign.? She is really thrilled to be doing another show with her better half, Levi E. Krevinghaus and is happy Mary Puppins could come along with this adventure. Cheers to working with an amazingly sweet group of people that have filled each rehearsal with fun, and joy! Enjoy the show!
	Ensemble Courtney Gardner	Courtney Wheeler is extremely proud to be joining the Tennessee Valley Players for the third time in this year's musical Something Rotten! Previously, she has joined TVP for Of Thee I Sing and Mamma Mia! Some of her favorite shows she has participated in include Oklahoma, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Once Upon a Mattress. She is a graduate of Karns High School and Lincoln Memorial University with a degree in Psychology. Courtney would like to thank her family, friends, and TVP family for all of their support.
	Ensemble Amber Rose WIlson	Amber Rose Wilson is overjoyed to be a part of this production! This is her fifth show with the Tennessee Valley Players and definitely her favorite so far. A graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Amber is a rising sophomore at the University of Tennessee studying communications. Recently you may have seen her as Meg in the Clarence Brown production of Wrens. Her shows with TVP include Kiss Me Kate, Curtains, Girl Crazy, and Of Thee I Sing. Amber wishes to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and Edmund and Dr. Batey for working around her busy schedule.
	Lippman Rick WIlson	Rick Wilson is excited to be back onstage with old friends and new ones with the Tennessee Valley Players. Previously, Rick portrayed Sam Mason in TVP's production of Girl Crazy and Louis Lippman in Of Thee I Sing. In addition to dabbling in theatre: Sins & Secrets - Carthage. When not dabbling in theatre or TV, Rick is the QA and Product Test Manager for FLIR Detection in Oak Ridge and is thankful for the support of his wife Andrea and their three children: Amber Rose, Spencer, and Faith.
	Ensemble Chad Wood	Chad Wood is honored to be working with Dr. Batey, Edmund, and the entire cast and crew of Gershwin's Of Thee I Sing! This is Chad's first time working with the Tennessee Valley Players. He would like to thank his family and friends for their love and undying support. Chasing a dream and moving right along. 	Lighting Designer and Operator Matt Cogburn	Cogburn is enjoying his 18th season with the Tennessee Valley Players. Previous work includes Mamma Mia, Into the Woods, Pirates of Penzance, Les Miserables, West Side Story, South Pacific, Of Thee I Sing, Girl Crazy, Curtains, Anything Goes, and many more wonderful shows done by the talented group Tennessee Valley Players always attracts. He would like to thank his wife Jill, ten-year-old daughter Lilly, and seven-year-old son James as well as the cast and crew. Matthew works as a Senior Retail Technology Engineer at Pilot Flying J. Enjoy this final performance in the Carousel!
	Percussionist Hunter Deacon	Hunter Deacon is a drummer/percussionist who has been playing in the Knoxville area since 2007. Originally from Memphis, he earned a bachelor's degree the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a focus in studio music and jazz. Since then, Hunter has performed all over the US, and as far away as Hangzhou, China. He currently tours with The Jon Stickley Trio, based out of Asheville, NC. Into the Woods will be Hunter's eleventh summer performance with TVP.
	Dance Captain Mariana Garciagodoy	Mariana Garciagodoy is currently in the graduate choral conducting program at the University of Tennessee, under the tutelage of Dr. Angela Batey. Originally from Mexico City, Mariana demonstrated early in life a passion for dance and music. Her conducting draws on these two passions and shows the ways in which music and movement are interconnected. Mariana studied under Dr. Emilie Amrein at Lake Forest College, IL. There she served as the Assistant Conductor for the Lake Forest College Choirs. Additionally, she works with the Soundcompany children's choir and is the happy director of the Junior group. Mariana is very interested in different cultures, and loves the ways in which music overcomes barriers and brings people together, no matter how different their backgrounds are.
	Stage Manager Carol Idol	Carol Idol has been involved with Tennessee Valley Players for many years as a back stage assistant, dresser, and stage manager. She also has had memorable roles as a walk-on in a variety of roles: stage manager, cleaning lady, waitress, congressman, Supreme Court Justice have been high points. A devoted lover of community theatre, Carol is much beloved for her positive outlook and giving spirit. There is no doubt that many TVP casts and crews benefited from her work. Thank you, Carol. 	Accompanist Melony Dodson	Melony Dodson is delighted to return for her 8th summer musical with Tennessee Valley Players. Melony earned her master's degree in Collaborative Piano from the University of TN in 2008 and since then has spent her days hosting the Morning Concert on WUOT, 91.9FM, accompanying the Concert Choir and Men's Chorale at UT, and music-directing musicals with various theatre groups in the area. Recent engagements include I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change with Theatre Knoxville Downtown, and Legally Blonde at Maryville College. When not playing the piano, she loves hiking, camping, gardening, cooking, and drinking craft beer with her boyfriend.

	Bass Daniel Shifflett	Daniel Shifflett is a professional string and electric bassist. This is his tenth consecutive season with the Tennessee Valley Players. Mr. Shifflett has toured nationally, with Broken Bow Records artist, Jackie Lee, along with touring internationally to countries including India and Canada, with rock band, Gone in April. He has performed with country music star, Easton Corbin. Mr. Shifflett is an active clinician and teacher of the electric bass and string bass. He performs regularly with the Chattanooga Symphony and Brevard Philharmonic, Symphony of the Mountains and Marble City Opera. Currently, Mr. Shifflett serves as the Technical Director of Concord United Methodist Church.
